# Smart Data Hub

The Smart Data Hub section on the Dashboard allows you to create and configure the schema, schema validation rules, and message transformation rules.

- [**Schema Registry**](../data-integration/schema-registry.md): You can create an internal or external schema to be used in the schema validation or SQL rules. - **Schema Validation**: Use a validation rule to ensure that data to be published to specific topics must conform to predefined data formats.
