Free Connection Minutes Limit Reached Alert
The Free Connection Minutes Limit Reached alert indicates that the client connection minutes for an EMQX Serverless deployment are approaching or have reached the monthly free quota.
The alert is triggered when usage reaches 75%, 100%, and 200% of the free quota.
Quota and Billing
Each Serverless deployment includes 1 million connection minutes per month at no charge. Usage beyond the free quota is billed at CNY 8.00 per million connection minutes.
Connection minutes are calculated as follows:
- 1 connection minute is one client connection maintained for one minute. A connection lasting less than one minute is rounded up to one minute.
- Monthly connection minutes = number of client connections x connection duration.
- Online clients include connected clients and disconnected clients with persistent sessions until those sessions expire and are removed.
Monitoring and Statistics
Log in to the EMQX Cloud Console and enter your deployment.
On the deployment Overview page, view the connection minutes for the current month.
Impact
You can configure a Spend Limit to control monthly usage for a Serverless deployment or receive notifications when usage approaches or reaches the limit. For configuration details, see Spend Limit.
